Quickcast vs double click dota11/12/2022 ![]() I'd love to help you with this, I've tried finding an answer to this myself, but I'm sorry to say this answer and a whole bunch of comments along the line of " my way works for me, stop complaining" is probably the best you're going to get. The only downside there is it's occasionally hectic trying to cast a chain of stuff that uses a combination of quickcast and normal cast, especially when it's a fast combo of burst attacks to nuke a target down. This question's been asked since like 2012, and devs have already said they have no intention of changing it because it makes sense to them this way. Instead, you're told you should just switch to regular casting, or have a separate button for self-casting, or move the cursor to your character in the middle of a fight, or any other assortment of answers that are justifying quickcast being anything but convenient or quick.īasically, your best bet is to try some sort of console trickery, but I've had no luck with that either. When you use quickcast you don't have to click, which can increase the rate of missclicking abilities drastically, and missclicks happen at pros as well. Enables double-click support for when using Quickcast. Sorry OP, but this question gets asked a lot and the answers are always incredibly useless.Ĭurrently, double-clicking a quickcast binding with no target (on, for example, a force staff) does literally nothing, so it would seem to make sense to make it actually do something, but that's apparently too difficult. Holding down Alt when pressing an ability or item will trigger a double-tap if possible. ![]()
